Elena Denis is a Masters level psychotherapist who has been in private practice for 12 years in the Houston area. She completed her masters at the University Of Houston Graduate School Of Social Work and trained at Texas Children’s Hospital, The VA Hospital and the Houston Galveston Psychoanalytic Institute.
She belongs to the Association for Play Therapy United States, Houston Group Psychotherapy Society, The Houston Galveston Psychoanalytic Society, The International Dyslexia Association, and the Attention Deficit Disorders Association – Southern Region. Elena is also on the Advisory Board of the Neuhaus Education Center in Houston, Texas.
Elena’s clients for individual therapy range from age 3 years to adult. She conducts group therapy for adolescent girls. Elena has much experience treating anxiety, depression, school issues, child/parent conflict, sibling issues, difficult peer situations, social worries, life adjustment stress (divorce, marriage, new step family, new school, launching to college, starting family, move, new job, etc.). AD/HD and learning differences are long time clinical interests.
Elena lives in Houston with her husband and two children.
